Upon reaching a breaking point of feeling unfulfilled with my “work life,” in 2006, I hired a Life Coach to help me explore other avenues of interest.  Working through lots of “emotional baggage,”  I realized that two true passions of mine that I had strong interest in pursuing were:  1) making music and 2) counseling others.

In mid 2007, I left my long time career in “the world of sales” to dedicate a full year of my working life to a three fold mission: 1) to learn how to record/produce my first music album, 2) to produce it, and 3) to explore, study and become proficient in the most effective tools/techniques/systems for dissolving fear/anxiety/stress.

During that year, I underwent a true “personal transformation,”  having many incredible experiences that changed the way that I lived and viewed life, (especially in terms of the “mind body” connection).  There were so many practical things that I had learned, that all in all…I was pretty overwhelmed processing how to turn “it all” into a sustainable career in which I could financially support a family.  On top of that, at the end of that year my wife gave birth to our first child, which definitely added some additional stress to the situation.

I took on a part time job, and amidst the “sweet chaos of the world of fatherhood,”  continued to focus on both: 1) developing a sustainable business in which I could both “coach others” into physical and mental wellness,  and 2) making/recording music.  In September 2009, a full year after the birth of my daughter, I finally finished producing my first album of songs entitled “THE LIGHT SHINES ON…”

After spending a few months attempting to sell the music online, on March 1st, 2010, I launched “a grassroots initiative to spread love, gratitude and peace of mind around the world with the gift of music…” I began the initiative by offering the entire  first music album as a complimentary digital download on a new website www.3ply.org.  (which has since molded into www.joefred.info)

Feeling strongly called in the direction of dedicating more time and energy to creating and sharing music, I am now choosing to fully focus on the music initiative…as I feel it is the best way in which I can be of service to both my local community and the global community at large.

I would categorize the music that I play as “heart centered” with a focus on inspiring gratitude, love and peace of mind within the listener.  I am now in the process of creating my third music album (entitled NAMASTE) and am continuing to develop my “live music” offerings with venues ranging from yoga studios and house concerts to churches/spiritual centers and festivals.
